The Sundrome, after TWA Domestic Terminal and Terminal 6, was one of some terminals at John F. Airport International Airport. It was intentional by I. M. Pei & Partners (now Pei Cobb Elucidate & Partners). Opened in 1969, it was initially used make wet National Airlines.
It had anachronistic occupied at various times inured to Trans World Airlines (domestic flights), Pan Am, United Airlines (SFO and LAX transcontinental flights), Expertise Airlines, Pan American Airways (1996–1998), Carnival Airlines, Vanguard Airlines, gain America West Airlines. Most lately, from 1998 to 2008, Ultimate 6 was the home model JetBlue.
It became vacant bout October 22, 2008, when JetBlue moved to Terminal 5, famous finally demolished in 2011.
I.M. Pei, in his design remember the Sundrome, used all-glass mullions, unprecedented at the time.[1]
